Finding Freedom in Structure

😌 Lucy finally nailed her stride in eating and is an inspiration with her 60-Day results of the power of eating better and self-care. Eating can be a struggle especially when other parts of our life are challenging. Lucy experienced many out-of-her-control events which compounded in her life leaving this super-fit accountant feeling BLAH x 10 on her wellbeing and zest for life lagging.

Lucy says: "I didn’t like how my body was feeling and I couldn’t seem to stick to eating better. I’ve always had a habit of exercise but a trigger happened, then I’d just go off the rails.”

Like many women, Lucy cares for many people in her life. Family, friends and so many lean-on us and we stay in survival-mode for so long that we forget we need support and help too. The magnitude of changes experienced this past year takes its toll on your wellbeing. Our body eventually reflects on the outside what is going on internally even though we are “getting by” or “fine”.

Lucy wasn’t overweight by any stretch of the imagination, but she didn’t feel good either. So new routines and structure was implemented into her daily life as a form of self-care. “I really like and thrive in structure” Lucy says “And having routines and structure for my exercise, eating and overall wellbeing gave me clear actions I could take to feel better.”

“The first thing that I noticed was the bloating in my stomach disappeared. I couldn’t believe how much better I felt so quickly. I had more energy and just felt so much better.”

In her weekly calls with Coach Erica, Lucy’s voice “tone” noticeably changed over the weeks too. “When Lucy and I first spoke, there were so many difficult events that she experienced that would knock anyone back.” Erica describes, “She needed someone to help her focus on her - her wellbeing and support for HER. Within a couple weeks of self-care through food and healthy routines, her voice tone on our calls transformed. Her voice now has a lightness to it, a positivity, hope and aliveness. I can now feel I’m speaking to the truest version of Lucy. She’s strong, and smart, a kick-ass runner & loves to learn.”

Lucy is an avid runner and fitness enthusiast. Cracking the code on her food was the focus, and week-by-week she learned what balanced healthy eating looks like and how to sustain consistently eating better. Lucy lost the few pounds and inches she desired and quickly transitioned into maintenance protocols adding in more food to fuel her wellbeing.

The before/after may show the physical result of her food improvements and self-care, but what always matters the most is the transformation from the inside out. An energy and strength that shows the true happiness of living well.
